While many persons have begun the year with several goals and resolutions, including buying a vehicle, two ‘boasy’ JN Money customers are revving into the New Year with their winnings of a spanking new 2023 Kia Seltos, a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Omar Johnson, 42-year-old farmer and chef, of Cascade, Hanover and Omera Belinfante, 21, a student from the bread basket parish of St. Elizabeth, are the lucky winners of the Jamaica ‘60 & Boasy’ with JN Money promotion. Persons became eligible for the promotion by sending or receiving a JN Money transfer during the period August 1 to December 24. A draw was done and Mr. Johnson and Miss Belinfante, long-standing JN Money customers, emerged the winners.
Mr. Johnson, who is a single father to a 12-year-old, says he is overwhelmed with happiness, as one of his greatest wishes was to own a vehicle. He noted that this is a win for both himself and his daughter. The transaction that made him a winner was received from his aunt who lives in the United States.
“This is one of the biggest accomplishments in my entire life. This is going to change my life around,” he said as he smiled. “Sometimes my daughter finds it hard to get a drive to come home from school so now I will be able to take her and pick her up.”
He added that he will be able to use the SUV to assist him with transporting goods as he normally has to take a taxi to bring them into the town to sell them.
Mr. Johnson says the near five-hour journey from Lucea via public transport to attend the grand handover on January 6, which took place at the KIA showroom, located on Oxford Road in Kingston, was well worth it.
“I have been using JN Money Transfer for more than five years now to receive funds from abroad from my mom and aunt; sometimes they send one or two times for the month. I want to tell JN Money thanks, I really appreciate it and they should keep up the good work,” he stated.
Similarly, Miss Belinfante, who just recently applied for her driver’s licence, say she is really excited as she believes that winning a vehicle from JN Money is a blessing.
“I feel happy because my dream car is a SUV. I was on a call with my friend when I saw a strange number calling and I answered. At first, I thought it was a scam so I was waiting on the person on the line to tell me that in order to redeem the prize, I needed to pay some money,” she said. “I got three calls that day and email to confirm the win.”
The Human Resource Management major said that she is not an outdoor person but now that she has won the car she will be taking trips and take her grandmother out as well as to her clinic appointments.
Her father, Omar Belinfante, who is the sender of the winning transaction, was also on site – visiting from the Cayman Islands for the holidays, along with other family members for the exciting fanfare.

Another customer in the Cayman Islands as well as customers in the U.S.A South East and North East, Canada, the United Kingdom and Antigua, also won dream vacations for two to Jamaica.
